Peek Inside: Makeup Bag

To continue our expansion project, here is a look at what’s inside my makeup bag:

Foundations: I switch/combine a few depending on how I feel…
Laura Mercier Pressed Powder, $35: I like this one because it’s a quick application and gives lasting coverage.  Perfect for those days when I’m running just a tad behind.
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, $42: This sheer foundations feels light a natural on my skin, but is buildable for when I want a little more coverage.
Smashbox Halo, $59: This all natural powder boasts antiaging properties! Don’t know if I’ve necessarily noticed fewer wrinkles or anything but I do like that you can shave off fresh powder for each use.  It’s a bit pricey but lasts for quite some time.  I use this sometimes for a lighter coverage or just a powder over the Nars one.

Smashbox High Definition Concealer, $20: Just a tiny dab does the trick and this one tube lasts forever!

Nars Blush in Orgasm, $28: Universally flattering shade of peach pink, Orgasm gives just the right amount of life to my pale-ish skin! I’ve been using it for years!

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, $18: No longer sold in stores in the US, but I always try to pick on up at Duty Free when I travel abroad (where it’s cheaper too!).  You can still purchase it on the Shu Uemura website in the US though!

Covergirl LastBlast Fusion Mascara, $8: I used to use the much pricier Diorshow mascaras but one day decided to try this one and loved it so much more!  Long lasting, never clumps, and truly lengthens!  (Get them at the drugstore when there are B1G1 50% deals and don’t pay retail!)

Korres Lip Gloss in Natural Beige, $17: Love, love, love this gloss with moisturizing vitamin E and a beautiful glossy sheen in a natural wear everywhere hue.

Anastasia Brow Wiz, $20: Quickly and easily fills in sparse brow areas. Just one pencil lasts at least 6 months for me!

Aquaphor, $6: This is such a savior for keeping lips moist! I’m allergic to a lot of other chapstick/lip balms and even the little tubes Vaseline don’t work quite as well for me.  One tube (as long as you don’t lose it) will last you literally YEARS.  I just recently bought my 2nd ever tube.

Aaand now you know what’s in my bag! What’s in yours?  I’m always on the lookout for new and better products! :)
