Matt Bernson Sale: Nice ‘n Easy

I say that because this sale is rapidly changing.
Two years ago, it was straight madness and CLEANED OUT by the second day.
Last year, everything except the shearling booties were $40 and it was a zoo, but lots of stock and they cut prices on the last day.
This year: no crazy crowds, newer higher prices, and rumor has it that they are NOT cutting prices on the last day and NOT replenishing.
So, ladies and gents, it’s safe to say that this sale has hit critical mass and knows it. They’ve changed to a bigger nicer location. They’ve raised prices (ONLY ballet flats and sandals are $40 now, other stock $60, shearling booties still $100). Who knows what’s going to happen next year…
That said, we are still in crazystupidlove with Mr. Bernson. G and her +1 went as soon as doors opened and bought like 8 pairs of shoes between them. I stepped in for probably 10-15 minutes and came out with 2 pairs. And I think D and A are waiting for the last day, hoping they’ll cut prices despite rumors otherwise.
Like other reports have mentioned, the sale itself is pretty calm and quiet. Once you walk in, there are boxes and boxes of shoes organized according to size (+ more downstairs!).
Several of the sales staff are hanging around to help find shoes or sizes and there is one large mirror where almost everyone congregates but in one of the most polite and least frenzied ways I’ve ever seen at a sale.
G picked up the Minx Shearling for $100 (sorry, ladies, we were told there was only 1 pair put out this year and G bought it) and we both took home the Waverly Cap Toe Pony flats.
Pretty much every shoe he’s selling on his site, you can find at the sale. There’s also a box of the Dragonfly thong sandals going for $20 each that are super cute and comfy for those of you are escaping to somewhere warm this winter.
As for me, I’ll stick with the closed-toe goods for now.
