Tory Burch Opens Early!
Tory Burch sale, which was supposed to start tomorrow, had a surprise opening today at 4pm! I was out already so I decided to head over and check it out. Got there a little before 5pm and there was no line. You get a number and wait for it to be called to try on shoes… I guess it’s more organized that way. And you can try on 10 clothing items at a time.

Another Wednesday, another sample sale shopping day!
Here’s what I got:
Diane Von Furstenberg dress, $50
260 5th Ave, btwn 28th and 29th (through Friday, Dec. 10)
3 racks of samples priced at $50 each. There weren’t a whole lot of decent non-damaged pieces left but there were quite a few of these dresses in sizes ranging from 0-14. Other stuff was just … weird...

(In case you forgot, Tarte makes those awesome cheek stains…from my experience, they don’t last that long, sadly, but they smell great and give a super natural flush. Also love that their cosmetics are “all-natural”—who knows how natural these things...
Madewell online vs in-store
I absolutely love Madewell, and have come to realize that sometimes, things are cheaper in the store than they are online! (Or go on sale in stores first.)
Just to let you all know, the “pretty plumes dress” is marked down to $99 from $168, but only $29.99 in store right now! And they still seem to have lots of sizes left in the Soho store
(at least one 0, 2, and some 4s, 6s, and 8s...
Vena Cava sale
Turns out that going on the last day was a great idea!
Sure, the samples might have been picked through, but D still scored one of them at the reduced price of $30 ($40 at the beginning of the sale). I picked up a checkerboard dress for $15 (not the most flattering dress, but comfy and too ‘Vena Cava’ for me to pass up at that price—originally $200+!).

Charlotte Ronson sale update
So after seeing J’s post about the $20 sample bin at CS, I decided to go check it out myself…
Nothing good left in there really (lots of size 4’s), and only 3 pairs of very large sample shoes left. There was a bin of $5 slips and $10 belts though.
But the regular overstock is actually not too crazy! They were all marked down by $10, with the cheapest being the red dots, which...
LES boutique closing sale
Tulips on Stanton St (right next to Yumi Kim) is having a closing sale—everything is half off. I usually check it out if I’m at Yumi Kim…I’ve never actually bought anything (still too much for what it is), but the clothes are pretty cute—in a fobby way.
I might check it out this weekend…and again later in case there are steeper markdowns.
